“From Still Life to Summer Thrills: April Book Club Highlights”

The Poison Pen Book Club gathered on Thursday, April 23, for an engaging April meeting, bringing together 15 members for an evening of mystery, conversation, and community.

This month’s featured read, Still Life by Louise Penny, sparked a thoughtful discussion among attendees. Members shared their perspectives on the novel’s intricate plot, memorable characters, and the atmospheric setting that made the story so compelling. As always, the conversation reflected the diverse viewpoints of the group, making for a rich and enjoyable exchange.

Looking ahead, excitement is already building for the coming months. May’s selection, The Silent Patient, is now available for purchase, giving members plenty of time to dive into the next gripping story. June’s book, The Guest List by Lucy Foley, will be available for purchase at the May meeting, so be sure to plan ahead.

To close out the evening, the club held a fun drawing, with four lucky guests winning paper page markers—a delightful way to end another successful gathering.
